WHY WOMEN?

Eight of the forty-eight Living Her Legacy Honorees are "Women of Firsts."

The profound contributions of the forty-eight Living Her Legacy Honorees will live on in specifically designed curriculum at the elementary, high school and college level courses.  Their names will be spoken, and their stories told.  Through education, our movement is to inspire future generations to follow their lead.

If you educate a man, you educate an individual. But if you educate a woman, you educate a nation

African Proverb

Education is a tool to change lives.

Living Her Legacy is educating, engaging and connecting with girls and young women of today through role Model Art workshops, Girl Leader Programs, classes and courses at Poudre School District and Colorado State University.  Our hope is to open their hearts and minds to the windows of possibility through real women examples: role models girls can learn from, mentors that can help young women dream bigger- women in our community to set an example of what it possible.

Research confirms that girls and young women excel when partnered with a woman mentor. Living Her Legacy could not agree more!  Join us in our movement to make a difference.
