Living Her Legacy (LHL), a Colorado non-profit organization respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy.  The policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you donate to LHL online or offline or visit our website www.livingherlegacy.ort,  or partner sites, www.good.app.link/livingherlegacy and www.networkforgood.org, or though social media such as LHL‘s Facebook profile, Instagram or YouTube Channel, or communicate with us via email, and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

Please read this policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, you should not use our website. By accessing or using this Website, you agree to this privacy policy. This policy may change from time to time (see Changes to Our Privacy Policy below). Your continued use of this Website after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes.

We may also collect personal information given voluntarily when contacting us on our website. When you visit LHL’s Website, we may collect information about your visit such as your IP address and the pages you visited and when you subscribe and access our content, we may collect information on when and how you use those services.

Social Media & Comments

LHL uses social media such as website comments, and networks like s Facebook profile, Instagram  and YouTube to engage readers in dialogue. As mentioned above, LHL makes use of data collected via these functions on our website. On other networks, we abide by the terms and conditions of that website/service, and reserve the right to use those networks for marketing and educational purposes. Comments made on LHLs’ Facebook or YouTube accounts are reviewed and published at our discretion, and through the use of these functions you accept that LHL is permitted to edit, moderate, and reuse comments for in-house promotional materials. Promotions and advertising are not permitted in this medium, nor is derogatory or hateful speech.

With Whom We Share Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent user personal information with any other parties. We may share personal Information with our trusted service providers and sponsors only to the extent required to fulfill purposes outlined above. We will only provide our sponsor with information submitted by our online users via submission forms for accessing exclusive site content such as Network for Good or Let’s All Do Good, and online users will always have the option to omit sharing this information with sponsors.

Non-personal information may be shared with other third parties, as well as for the purpose of developing or delivering advertising, or for the purpose of improving our web services, conducting data analysis or other business purposes. This information may be combined with information we collect from other sources, to the extent that the information remains anonymous. Except as may be required by law, we will not sell, trade or share our donor’s names or personal information with any other third party, nor send mailings to donors on behalf of other organizations. Use of donor personal information (whether collected through our website or offline) will be limited to the internal purposes of LHL. To the extent any donations are processed through a third-party service provider, our donor’s information will only be used for purposes necessary to process the donation.

How We Use Information We Collect

We may use personal data to provide and improve our Services and to meet any binding contractual or legal obligations. For example, to analyze and improve the website functionality and services, such as technical or security purposes and to improve the customer experience. We may also use personal data to market and sell our services, including to communicate with you about same or similar services that we offer. Acceptance of the Terms of Use

These Terms of Use are entered into by and between you and Living Her Legacy, a Colorado non-profit corporation (LHL). The following terms and conditions, together with any documents they expressly incorporate by reference (collectively, these “Terms of Use”), govern your access to and use of www.livingherlegacy.org.

By using the Website, you accept and agree to be bound and abide by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy, found at www.livingherlegacy.org/privacy, and incorporated herein by reference. This Website is offered and available to users located in the United States who are thirteen (13) years of age or older. In addition, you may not use the Website if any applicable law or regulation prohibits it. By using this Website, you represent and warrant that you meet the foregoing eligibility requirements. By attending LHL’s programs or events, you (i) grant permission to LHL to use, alter, composite and publish any photographic image, video, audio or electronic recording of you, or in which you may be included, made at any such program or event for purposes of promoting LHL and its events, and (ii) irrevocably assign to LHL all of your rights, title and interest in and to any such image, video, or recording.

Copyright Infringement and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act

In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), and specifically 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), a copyright agent has been designated to receive notification of a claimed copyright infringement for the Website. If you are a copyright owner or an agent of a copyright owner and believe your copyrighted work is being infringed on by any guest blogs posted on the Website, please notify us at info@livingherlegacy.org.

 

When notifying us of the alleged copyright infringement, please be sure to include the following information:

If you have posted User Contribution that is removed, and you believe such removal was a mistake or that you have the necessary licenses or permissions to post the User Contribution, you may send the copyright agent designated above a counter-notice. According to DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3)), the counter-notice must contain the following information:

  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or access to it was disabled.

After receiving such a counter-notice, we may send a copy of it to the party who sent the original notice. If the owner of the copyright does not file a court action, WFCO, in its sole discretion, may replace or restore the removed User Contribution ten (10) or more days after receiving the counter-notice.

 

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless LHL, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, volunteers, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms of Use or your use of the Website, including, but not limited to, any use of the Website’s content or services other than as expressly authorized in these Terms of Use or your use of any information or materials obtained from the Website.
